An Illinois woman has been taken into custody after she allegedly submitted a false prescripton to be filled.
McCracken County Sheriff's deputies report that 52-year-old Tina Rice of Brookport was arrested Monday in Paducah after an employee from a local pharmacy became suspicious of the prescription. The employee contacted the office of the doctor listed, and after learning that no such prescripton had been written, law enforcement was contacted.
Detectives discovered that Rice had 120 doses of 10 mg Norco tablets in her possession. She admitted to detectives that she had fraudulently passed the prescription.
Detectives learned that Rice is currently on probation for a similar offense in Illinois. As a result, her vehicle was seized.
She was taken to the McCracken County Jail.
