Woman Cited for DUI, Texting After Accident

PADUCAH, KY - A Paducah woman was cited after a single-car accident early Saturday morning.
McCracken County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene around 4:30 am, along with Reidland Fire Department and Mercy EMS. The deputy determined that 25-year-old Jennifer Bradley was driving west on Benton Road near Watson Road when she lost control of her car, ran off the road, and overturned in a ditch.
Bradley was taken to Lourdes Hospital for treatment of what appeared to be minor injuries. Further investigation determined that she was reading a text when the accident happened. Alcohol and speed were also factors.
Bradley was charged with DUI 1st offense aggravating circumstances, no motor vehicle license, and using a personal communication device while driving 1st offense.
Benton Road was partially blocked for about an hour while the vehicle was uprighted and the scene was cleared.
