The McCracken County Sheriff's Department says units were dispatched shortly after 10 a.m. to the intersection of Old Mayfield Road and Walnut Drive to the report of a crash with injuries.
Deputies say 44-year-old Rita Turner was northbound on Old Mayfield Road when another vehicle, driven by 33-year-Old Stephanie Byrd, of Antioch, TN, attempted to make a left turn from Walnut Drive. Deputies said Byrd failed to yield the right of way and hit Turner’s vehicle.
The collision caused minor damage to both vehicles.
Turner was taken to Lourdes Hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.
