PADUCAH, KY - A Paducah woman was injured Monday when she walked into the path of a tractor-trailer rig on Paducah’s south side.

Paducah Police received a call at 2:24 pm to Irvin Cobb Drive near Bridge Street, and spoke to the driver of the truck, 53-year-old Darryl G. Holley of Grand Rivers.

Holley said he was driving east when he saw 45-year-old Diana Frey of Clarks River Road walk to the edge of the road. He thought she was going to stop, but instead she darted into the road. Holley braked, but was unable to avoid hitting her.

Frey told police that she had been drinking. She was taken to Western Baptist Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
