Woman Injured When Pickup Hydroplanes on I-24

A Ballard County woman was injured Monday in a single-vehicle accident on Interstate 24.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department reported that about 11:47 am, 21-year-old Caitlyn Meinschein of LaCenter was driving a pickup truck west at the 10.5 mile marker when it hydroplaned during heavy rainfall. The truck hit a guardrail in the median and overturned, blocking one lane of Interstate traffic. 

Meinschein was taken to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries.
