PADUCAH, KY - Deputies say a Paducah woman was killed in a crash around 1 p.m. Thursday in the area of Hendron Road and Starr Hill Road. According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Office, a vehicle that had been traveling southbound on Hendron Road was involved in a fatal wreck. The driver, 41-year-old Rhonda F. Kindred , died at the scene after responders attempted to give medical aid.

An investigation showed that Kindred had lost consciousness before the collision, likely due to medical reasons. After she lost consciousness, the vehicle accelerated and ran off the road hitting a tree on the east side.
 
The McCracken County Sheriffs Department was assisted on scene by Mercy Regional EMS, Hendron Fire Department, and the McCracken County Coroners Office.
