Wreck on Cairo Road Injures Two

Two people were hurt Sunday afternoon in a two vehicle wreck on Cairo Road.
 
At 4:11 pm deputies responded to the 6800 block of Cairo Road for a two-vehicle accident with injuries.
 
Investigation showed 31-year-old Anna C. Hendrix, of Kevil was traveling northbound on Cairo Road approaching the 6800 block when she rear-ended 53-year-old Verna Bartholomew of Kevil.
 
Both Bartholomew and her passenger, 11-year-old Joshua Bartholomew, were taken to Western Baptist Hospital for what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. Mrs. Bartholomew was found to be under the influence of prescription medication and driving without insurance. She was cited to court.
 
The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department were assisted by Mercy Regional EMS.
