Yeiser Hosts Mühsam & Larusso Opening Reception
By YAC
PADUCAH, KY - The two-person exhibition of Armin Mühsam and Lori Larusso, which explores our relationship with the spaces around us, has an Opening Reception at the Yeiser Art Center on Saturday, May 11 from 5 - 7 pm.

Mühsam's painted landscapes question western society's assertion of control over our surroundings. "For me these structures are at once monuments to the power we exert over our environment and, at the same time, latent ruins representing a self-destructive society," Mühsam said.

Larusso's painted interiors and private outdoor spaces are a study on the cultures we maintain.  "Very often, our ideas are a reflection of the way we wish things were, rather than the product of the way we actually experience them," Larusso said. "I find this conflict to be in direct connection to the representational image."
