An investigation led police to take into custody 31-year-old Troy Simelton of Metropolis, charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated battery with a firearm, and mob action.

Also arrested, 28-year-old Jeremy Simelton, also of Metropolis. He faces the same charges, in addition to obstructing justice.
