Church Hosting Meal Thursday to Stock Food Pantry

Weaver Creek Baptist Church is hosting a chicken and dumpling meal on Friday to support their food pantry.

They will be serving lunch and dinner between 11 am and 6 pm. 

The menu includes chicken and dumplings, corn, green beans, dessert and drink, all for a free-will donation.

Modern Woodmen of America is matching the money raised up to $2,500, so any gift given for the meal is effectively doubled.

The church is located at 2997 North Avenue in Metropolis.
