Counterfeit Money Reported in Southern Illinois

Counterfeit twenty dollar bills are being reported in multiple locations in southern Illinois.

According to Metropolis Police Chief Harry Masse, the Marion area has been hit hard with these bills recently, and he expects that they will begin showing up in the Metropolis and Massac County area as well.

Chief Masse reminds everyone to pay close attention to the money you receive.
