JOPPA, IL - Two men who were swimming in the Ohio River Monday night are now missing.

The Massac County, IL emergency director told WPSD that crews are searching for the men in the Ohio River near Joppa.  The two men, an uncle and nephew, were swimming in the river between 8:30 - 9 :00 pm when apparently they went underwater and have not been seen since.

Numerous friends and family members have gathered on the scene as the search continues. Search boats and private professional divers will continue the search.
