Harrah’s Metropolis Casino recently sold the North Star, the motor vessel that once housed their floating casino that traveled along the Ohio River.

The floating casino operation was established in 1993 when Player's Riverboat Casino opened. After owning the operation for several years, Harrah's built a land-based casino and hotel in 2006.

The motor vessel North Star left its Metropolis dock on Saturday morning. Harrah's didn't indicate what the vessel will be used for in the future.
