Former Cemetery Owner's Sentencing Scheduled

METROPOLIS, IL - The former owner of Metropolis Memorial Gardens will be sentenced Sept. 28 on various charges concerning his operation of the cemetery.
Gary Towler had previously pleaded guilty to charges of failing to file an annual audit, failure to maintain adequate records and failure to make proper deposits in the pre-need cemetery trust fund.
