Hardin County Woman Faces Internet Sex Charges

ROSICLAIRE, IL - A Rosiclare, Illinois woman has been charged in federal court with using the internet to arrange sex acts with a minor.
According to a criminal complaint filed Wednesday in federal district court in Benton, Illinois, 23-year-old Heather M. Banks allegedly used the internet on June 18 of this year to induce a minor to engage in illegal sex acts. The complaint further alleges that Banks was using the internet to induce a minor to provide her with prescription medications in exchange for sex.
The offenses carry a penalty of ten years to life in prison, a $250,000 fine, and five years of supervised release.
The case was investigated by the FBI and the Hardin County State's Attorney's Office.
