Rising water levels on the Ohio River has forced Harrah’s Metropolis Casino to close, starting at 6:00 am on Monday.

Harrah's officials say the frequently changing river forecast makes it difficult to accurately determine the date and time they will reopen the hotel and casino.

“It is in the best interest and safety of our guests and employees that we remain closed until further notice.,” said Chad Lewis, Advertising and Public Relations Supervisor for Harrah's. “As always, please check the Harrah’s Metropolis website, as well as our Facebook and Twitter pages for updated information.”
