Harrah's Dimming Lights for Earth Hour Mar. 23
By WestKyStar Staff
METROPOLIS, IL - Harrah’s Metropolis has committed for the fourth consecutive year to participate in the World Wildlife Fund's Earth Hour, visually demonstrating its commitment to operate in an environmentally responsible manner. Caesars Entertainment’s worldwide resorts and casinos will shut off non-essential exterior lighting and marquees from 8:30 to 9:30 pm on March 23.

"It is great that we are able to bring awareness to climate change and share this amazing experience with our guest, and look forward to continued participation in Earth Hour," said Mark Osterhaus.

Earth Hour is an event in which millions of people turn off their lights for one hour in support of action on climate change and toward creating a cleaner, safer and more secure future. Now in its fifth year, Earth Hour asks people the world over to go beyond the hour and think about what else they can do to make a difference when the lights come back on.
