Initial Restart to Begin Thursday at Honeywell

Honeywell spokesman Peter Dalpe says "front-end" operations in Metropolis are set to begin Thursday, June 20. These processes include ore preparation and green salt production.

Dalpe, along with plant manager Larry Smith, says that before full operations can begin, and production of of UF6 can resume, approval must be given from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. The agency is currently reviewing facility upgrades, and is expected to issue their final report in early July.
