Jackson Co. Man Sentenced for Meth-Making

ANNA, IL - A man from Murphysboro was sentenced Wednesday on drug charges.

Union County State's Attorney Tyler Edmonds announced that 46-year-old James A. Schott received a 5-year sentence for unlawful participation in methamphetamine manufacturing.

He was arrested July 15 after he was found with a meth lab in his vehicle along Big Muddy Levee Road in Union County. He was arrested by U.S. Forest Service Officers and Union County Sheriff's Deputies.
