A Metropolis man was arrested Saturday on theft and drug charges.

The Metropolis Police Department says officers responded to a disturbance at the Baymont Hotel. Officers met with the manager, who told them 35-year-old Roy T. Rolfe had been staying in a room without paying. Police arrested Rolfe on a theft charge, and reportedly found meth and drug paraphernalia in his backpack.

Rolfe was also charged with possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked into the Massac County Detention Center.
