JOPPA, IL - An man wanted in Indiana for escape and battery was taken into custody in Southern Illinois early Thursday afternoon.
Massac County Sheriff Ted Holder says a call came in Tuesday from the Indianapolis Police Department that 29-year-old Amos Crenshaw had escaped and may be on his way to Joppa.
Deputies began a search for Crenshaw that afternoon, and spotted him at 12:30 pm Thursday at a residence on Main St. in Joppa.
