Here are unofficial results from Massac County's primary election held on Tuesday:

In the Republican race for County Clerk, Hailey Clark Miles received 1,472 votes, while Juanita Wedeking-Newberry received 1,031 votes. Constitutional Party candidate Tim Pearcy was unopposed, and will face Miles in the November general election.

In the Circuit Clerk race, Republican Sandra Riepe received 1,819 votes and Michael Kerley got 571 votes.

The County Commissioner race went to Republican Jeff Brugger with 1,844 votes, while Debra Kay Crockett received 629 votes.

In the race for Judge of the Circuit Court for the 1st Judicial District, Republican Cord Wittig received 1,559 votes, Joseph Neely received 499 votes and Rick Abell got 491. Wittig will face Democrat Paul Henry in November. Henry was unopposed in the primary.

Candidates in the County Treasurer's race were unopposed.. Democrat Dana Angelly will face Republican Jody Haverkamp in November.

Republican Sheriff Ted Holder was the only candidate from any party, and will serve another term.

One state race was of major interest in Massac County, with two candidates from the county running for the 118th House District nomination in the Republican Party. Patrick Windhorst carried the day with 5,829 votes, outdistancing Massac Republican Party chairman Sam Stratmeyer with 2,138 and Harrisburg businessman Wes Sherrod with 2,861.

Windhorst will face Democrat Natalie Phelps Finnie in November.
