A line of strong to severe storms is expected to push eastward into and through southeast Missouri late Tuesday afternoon and into the evening. Damaging winds and tornadoes will be the primary severe hazards, to go along with locally heavy rainfall and lightning.
The line is expected to diminish in intensity as it moves east of the Mississippi River later in the evening and into the overnight hours.
The rest of the week will remain hot and humid with a daily chance of storms through Memorial Day.
