Noel Neill, who played Lois Lane in the Superman television series and in movies, has moved to Metropolis.

Neill missed the 2011 Superman Celebration because of health problems and wasn’t slated to appear at this year’s event.

But she made a surprise appearance at a panel discussion with authors Larry Tye and actors Gerard Christopher and John Rockwell on Saturday.

Neill posed for several pictures with fans before returning to her home.

Neill’s long-time companion Larry Ward, who has reportedly invested in the renovation of the Massac Theater in Metropolis, has also made his home in Superman’s adopted hometown.
