METROPOLIS, IL - Massac County law enforcement are looking into the death of a 15-year-old Metropolis boy who died from a gunshot wound on Sunday.

Officers were dispatched to a home in the 3100 block of Mick English Road in response to a call of gunshot. The victim was identified as Lane Wolfe.

Three seventeen-year-old youths, and one 18-year-old youth, were reportedly present at the time of the shooting.

Preliminary autopsy results indicate that Wolfe died from an accidental, self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Toxicology results are pending.
