Search Leads to Drug Charges for Metropolis Man

A Metropolis man was arrested Thursday on drug charges, after police executed a search warrant at his home.

Officers with the Metropolis Police Department, IL State Police and the Southern IL Drug Task Force executed a search warrant Thursday morning at a home in the 200 block of W. 10th St. 

After the search, police arrested 34-year-old John H. Brown, of Metropolis and charged him with manufacturing meth, possession of meth precursors and possession of a controlled substance. Police said the warrant was a result of an ongoing Meth investigation, and more arrests are anticipated. Brown was booked into the Massac County Detention Center.
