Semi Rollover Kills Arizona Man

An Arizona man was killed Sunday morning in a semi rollover wreck in southern Illinois.

Illinois State Police says their investigation revealed that a semi driven by 34-year-old Francois Elysee of Mesa, AZ was northbound on Interstate 57 at mile post 49 shortly after 6 am when he ran off of the roadway several times and over corrected, causing the semi to roll over onto its side.

Elysee was pronounced dead at the scene by the Williamson County Coroner. A passenger in the semi, 43-year-old Christopher Talbert of Orlando, FL was flown from the scene to a regional hospital for treatment of significant injuries.

The roadway was closed for about 30 minutes after the crash, and one lane was blocked for about five hours.
