Shawnee Community College has officially concluded the interviews for the college president position. The Board of Trustees interviewed four candidates: Brian Chapman of Ava, Illinois; Brian Van Horn of Murray, Kentucky; Peggy Jackson Bradford of Elmsford, New York; and Deborah Garrett of Cabot, Arkansas.

The Shawnee Community College Board of Trustees is currently sorting through feedback received following each candidate’s open forums with faculty, staff, students and community residents, along with reviewing personal notes on each candidate.

The Board of Trustees said in a press release that they appreciate the support and involvement from the college community and area residents, and they plan to name a college president in the near future.
