Southern IL Man Accused of Setting Woman on Fire
By AP
WEST FRANKFORT, IL - A southern Illinois man is accused of dousing his girlfriend with chemicals possibly used in making methamphetamine and setting her on fire in their back yard.

Police in West Frankfort say the 22-year-old woman survived the attack Monday but sustained burns over much of her body. There's no word on her condition Tuesday.

Twenty-eight-year-old Christopher Rollins is charged with battery.

Police Chief Jeff Tharp says emergency responders initially dispatched to a report of a woman burning in a back yard found smoke coming from the home, then found the victim and components of a meth lab.

Tharp says the victim reported that Rollins threw a flammable chemical on her.
