Three Sentenced in Union County for Felonies

JONESBORO, IL - Three men have been sentenced to prison for felony crimes in southern Illinois.
Union County State's Attorney Tyler Edmonds announced the sentences Wednesday.
A 3 year sentence was given to 34-year-old Valco D. Penn of Little Rock, AR, for identity theft. He allegedly used an Anna man's credit card to make purchases at Wal-Mart.
A 50 month sentence was given to 26-year-old Mason D. Kurtz of Mound City, IL, for aggravated domestic battery. He allegedly caused great bodily harm to a Goreville woman he was living with.
A 5 year sentence was given to 54-year-old David M. Olshon of Anna, IL, for involuntary manslaughter. An Illinois State Police Investigation revealed that he allegedly allowed an Anna woman to ingest a lethal dose of heroin and buprenorphine.
