Tremor Reported Near Marion Thursday Night

MARION, IL - Did you feel the earth move Thursday night in southern Illinois?

The U.S. Geological Survey reports that a 2.9 earthquake was detected at 8:28 pm, and had an epicenter 2 miles ESE of Marion. The movement was about 14 km below the earth's surface.
