The company and the union both issued press releases Tuesday afternoon confirming that negotiations on a new contract will resume October 2-3.
Both sides met last week, but little progress was made on a new contract. Workers were locked out by the company August 2 when they didn't vote on a proposal offered by Honeywell, but the union members had already told their negotiators what was acceptable, and authorized them to reject proposals that were below that standard.
