Authorities have charged a Carbondale woman with stabbing her boyfriend to death at an apartment early Thursday morning.

The Carbondale Police Department says officers responded shortly after 12 a.m. to a report of a stabbing at an apartment in the 300 block of South Marion Street. There they found 55-year-old Reginal Gilspie unresponsive with a stab wound to his chest. Gilspie was taken to Memorial Hospital, where he later died.
