According to the Metropolis Police Department, 27-year-old Amber M. Gilbert was arrested Saturday at a home in the 1000 block of Metropolis Street for burglary and criminal damage to property.
The victim was reportedly out of town when the theft took place. A witness called police after seeing Gilbert removing items from the home.
Officers found a broken window where
they believe entry was made into the home.
Gilbert was booked into the
Massac County Detention Center.
