A McCracken County man and his girlfriend were arrested Friday for methamphetamine manufacturing.
Detectives with the McCracken and Marshall County Sheriff’s Departments drug divisions completed a lengthy investigation into the manufacturing of methamphetamine late Friday night.
Detectives began the investigation after receiving a number of tips alleging that Timothy Ezell was involved in both the manufacture and the trafficking of meth. The tips also alleged that several other people were involved and aiding Ezell. The investigation showed that several people, including his girlfriend Trina Groessel, were in fact aiding Ezell by providing him with meth manufacturing components. As detectives executed the search warrant, Ezell was found attempting to dispose of a meth lab in his bathroom, in an effort to destroy evidence.
Ezell was taken into custody, as well as Groessel and another female. A search was conducted and more active meth labs were located along with meth manufacturing components, a quantity of methamphetamine, firearms and methamphetamine paraphernalia. Detectives also recovered methamphetamine concealed in a wooded area that Ezell was observed hiding earlier in day.
Both Ezell and Groessel were lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail. The investigation is continuing and more arrests are anticipated.
