According to the Graves County Sheriff's office, the wreck happened around 7:15am at the 27 mile marker northeast of Mayfield.
Deputies said Patrick Lee Jr. of Wheller, TX, was driving south on the parkway when he ran off the right side of the road, went up an embankment and overturned in the median.
Lee was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
Lee's wife, Merle Shug was a passenger in the sleeper berth. She was flown by Air Evac to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville for treatment of her injuries.
The crash blocked both lanes of traffic for several hours while police investigated and cleaned up the scene.
