Three Graves County men were arrested Thursday on burglary, theft and drug charges.

According to the Graves County Sheriff's Office, in mid-April, a homeowner on Lakeview Drive south of Mayfield reported that his home had been broken into and several items had been stolen. On Thursday, detectives interviewed the homeowner at 106 Lakeview Drive and learned that one of the family members had stored some of the stolen items on her property.

Thirty-year-old David Sowers of 106 Lakeview Drive was interviewed and admitted to committing the crime. He told deputies he knew of two other Graves County locations where the stolen items were stored.

Police responded to a home just east of Sedalia on KY 339 where David Sowers' brother, 25-year-old Ryan Sowers, was living and recovered several pieces of furniture and other items that were stolen from the home on Lakeview Drive. Deputies then responded to 9515 State Route 303 in the Cuba community, the home of 24-year-old Steven Blassingame, and recovered several more items that had been stolen from the Lakeview Drive home.

During the search of Blassingame's home, a large baggie of marijuana, digital scales and other drug paraphernalia was located. When David Sowers arrived at the jail, deputies said he surrendered some narcotics to the officer that he had wrapped up in a cigarette wrapper located in his pocket.

David Sowers was charged with burglary, criminal mischief, theft by unlawful taking under $10,000, tampering with physical evidence, possession of controlled substance and controlled substance not in the proper container.

Ryan Sowers was charged with receiving stolen property under $10,000 and tampering with physical evidence. Blassingame was charged with receiving stolen property under $10,000, tampering with physical evidence, trafficking marijuana less than 8 oz. and possession of drug paraphernalia

All three were lodged in the Graves County Jail.
