3-Vehicle Crash Kills Hardin Woman

A multi-vehicle accident Thursday in Marshall County resulted in the death of a Hardin woman.

According to the Marshall County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened around 4:45 pm at US 641 and KY 402. Deputies said a truck driven by 60-year-old Gary Loew of Veguita, New Mexico was northbound on US 641. A vehicle driven by 69-year-old Peggy Carter of Hardin was stopped at the intersection, and a third vehicle driven by 29-year-old Ashley Kingston of Cadiz was stopped in a turn lane.

Police said when the light changed, Loew switched lanes and struck Carter's vehicle in the side. Kingston's vehicle was then struck by debris from the crash.

Carter was transported to Marshall County Hospital where she later died.
