By West Kentucky Star Staff
MAYFIELD - Mayfield First Baptist Church will be presenting the 30th Annual Living Christmas Tree, "An Evening of Worship", Wednesday, December 5th continuing through Sunday, December 9th. Each performance will begin at 6:30 pm.

Music Minister, Paul Murphy, told West Kentucky Star that this year's presentation will include new special effects, which will add much to the program. He said that in addition to the 60 singers on the tree, over 40 others help in different ways with the production, bringing the total involved to over 100.

Another new addition with the program this year is that the church is asking, for those that are able, to bring canned foods. This is to assist the local food pantry, which will help those in the community that are less fortunate, to have enough to eat during the Christmas season.

Murphy also said that while the program is absolutely free, tickets are needed, which is the way everyone can be sure to have a seat. Ticket information can be obtained by calling (270)-247-2992 or by going to The church is located at 118 West South Street in downtown Mayfield.
