Police arrested an Almo man Wednesday, after responding to a complaint of a reckless driver.
On Wednesday, a Marshall County Sheriff's Deputy responded to a complaint of a car speeding on Brewers Highway. Dispatch received another call about the same vehicle hitting a fence on Nanney Neal Rd. Police said that when the deputy arrived, 21-year-old Zachary Kondratko, of Almo was behind the wheel, revving his engine and rolling a joint. Kondratko was arrested when he got out of the car and tried to go inside the home.
Police said the deputy could smell alcohol on Kondratko's breath, and found rolling papers, an open bottle of whiskey and marijuana in the vehicle.
Kondratko is charged with DUI, failure to produce insurance card, failure of owner to maintain required insurance, possession of open alcoholic beverage container in motor vehicle, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and leaving the scene of an accident.
