Deputies say a black man entered the store around 10:45 am, purchased some items with cash and then left the store. After leaving the store, police say he entered a vehicle in the parking lot and began sifting through the contents.
The owner of the vehicle, who had been shopping in the store, came out and confronted the man. The man told her to get away from him or he would shoot her.
Police say the man took several items from the vehicle, including cash, and then left, heading west toward Marshall County on US 62. Police say the suspect is believed to be traveling in a black Chevy Trailblazer or GMC Envoy with black wheels.
Police say the suspect is a light-skinned black man with an athletic build, approximately 5'10 to 6'0 tall and he weighs approximately 180 to 200 lbs. He was wearing a pair of athletic shorts, a black tank top and a gray cap.
