An autopsy performed Tuesday in Madisonville confirmed that 43-year-old Charles Christopher McClure of Union City, TN, died from two gunshot wounds to the torso.

McClure was shot by police Monday afternoon in Fulton.

Fulton Police Department began receiving 911 calls shortly after noon Monday about a man who was smashing windows out of several vehicles with a pole. Officers responded and reportedly found a suspect armed with a three to four foot pole and a knife. The man was shot and killed after failing to comply with officers' orders. No one else was injured during the incident.

Toxicology tests are still pending.

The name of the officer who shot McClure hasn't been released.
