Bailey Holt Memorial Birthday Party Held Tuesday
By West Kentucky Star Staff
CALVERT CITY, KY - The 16th birthday celebration in memory of Bailey Holt was held Tuesday evening at the Calvert Drive-in.

It was an emotional evening full of love and appreciation for Bailey, who would have turned 16 on Tuesday.

People from across the area poured into the Calvert City Drive Inn to show love and support for the Holt family and share memories with them about Bailey.

The night began with a balloon release in Bailey's honor and continued through the night with the showing of one of Bailey's all-time favorite movies Ferris Bueller's Day off.

One of the shirts being sold tonight in remembrance of Bailey was a line from the film, "Life moves pretty fast".

One of Bailey's friends said when asked what the quote meant to them said "I will never forget the smile that Bailey always wore on her face from the time I met her. Never forget to smile. Live everyday to the fullest because life is not a promise."

Bailey's cousin Kyler Holt-Riddle told West Kentucky Star "Just keep remembering Bailey. You can't forget. Bailey's legacy will continue to live on through memories we all have of her and events like tonight. Just please don't ever forget about Bailey.“

All proceeds from Tuesday's memorial birthday celebration will go to the Bailey Holt Memorial Nursing Scholarship, a scholarship set up to honor Bailey's plan to become a nurse.
