Christmas parades are today in Ballard County and in Karnak.

Ballard County's 6th annual parade will begin at 6 pm. Line up for the parade will be at 5:30 at the Ballard County Fairgrounds. This year there will be categories for Best School Float, Best Church Float, Best Emergency Services Float, and Best Other Float.

A  food drive will take place during the parade so bring canned or nonperishable food items. All collected food will be donated to Ballard County's local food pantries. This year's grand marshal is Vicki Gough. For more information, call Travis Holder 270-832-0758. 

Following the parade will be The Ballard Memorial Project Graduation’s Annual Chili Supper with Santa at the First Baptist Church in La Center.

In Karnak, line-up for the parade will begin at 5:30 pm, and it will start at 6pm.

Santa Claus will be available to meet with kids at Memorial Park after the parade. There will also be drawings held to give away two large stockings, and 16-inch and 20-inch bicycles for boys and girls (four bikes in all).
