A Benton man has been arrested on drug charges after suspicious activity was spotted Monday night at an impound lot in Hardin.

A Marshall County Sheriff's Deputy spotted someone removing tires from an impounded vehicle at Slack's Wrecker Service, after the business was closed. The deputy pulled over the man's vehicle, and asked him to get out. The Deputy saw digital scales in plain view on the driver's seat, which had white powder residue on them. The powder tested positive for methamphetamine. More scales and a metal box containing marijuana were also found beside the seat.

The man arrested was 30-year-old Jason Leidecker of Benton. He is charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance - methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to Marshall County Jail.
