Benton Men Arrested on Vandalism, Other Charges

Two Benton residents were arrested after officers say they vandalized several downtown businesses and a church.

Wednesday morning Benton Police department checked on possible vandalism occurring on Main Street, and said they heard glass breaking around 'Antiques Et Cetera'.  Officers said they saw two people near the stairs of the building. After officers confronted them, they were identified as Jack Fell II, and Ryan Combs, both of Benton.

Combs admitted that the pair had been on the roof of the National Store and had been throwing bricks. 

Police said substantial damage was caused to Peel & Holland, State Farm, The National Store, as well as the Church of Christ.

Fell was charged with alcohol intoxication, possession of drug paraphernalia, and criminal mischief.  Combs was charged with alcohol intoxication and criminal mischief.
