Benton Woman Arrested on Drug Charges after Wreck

A Benton woman was arrested Tuesday morning on DUI and drug charges.

At around 8:30 am Tuesday, Marshall County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to single-vehicle crash on Holland Road. When Captain Brett Edwards arrived at the scene, he found 56-year-old Bonnie N. Adair, of Benton still inside the vehicle. Police say the deputy saw a cotton ball and syringe on the dash. 

Adair was arrested and charged with DUI. After further investigation, Adair was additionally charged with possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was booked into the Marshall County Detention Center.
