The Friends of Land Between the Lakes raised $2000 at "Bites for Bobcat," a recent fundraiser at Tap 216 in Murray, which featured trivia, food and live music.

The June 6 “Bites for Bobcat” fundraiser at Tap 216 in Murray for the bobcat exhibit at the Woodlands Nature Station at Land Between the Lakes raised $2000 to help renovate the bobcat exhibit at the Woodlands Nature Station. Sponsored by the Friends of Land Between the Lakes, the event featured LBL themed trivia, music by Little by Little, Murray, and food from Tap 216.

The proceeds will go directly to improvements to the 24 year old bobcat exhibit. Planned renovations include more enriching habitat features, a larger bad weather shelter box, increased safety features for staff and improved viewing opportunities and educational messages for visitors.
The total amount raised for the project is now up to $15,000, with a total expenditure of $35,000 needed.

Aviva Yasgur, executive director of the Friends of Land Between the Lakes, said “We are so grateful to the variety to supporters who contributed to this event, including Friends of LBL members, LBL staff and spouses and frequent visitors to the Nature Station and to Tap 216 for offering to host this event and making it a great night for everyone."
