Bond was set at $1 million Thursday for a man police say killed his ex-girlfriend and her teenage son and led police on a multi-state search that ended in Ohio last week.

According to the Dayton Daily News, 41-year-old Terry Froman of Brookport, IL, appeared Thursday through video arraignment from Warren County Jail before Lebanon Municipal Court Judge Mark Bogen.

Froman was released from Atrium Medical Center in Middletown, OH Tuesday night where he had been a patient since Sept. 12, when he shot himself after ending 34-year-old Kim Thomas’ life, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Froman is charged with aggravated murder in Warren County, OH. He also faces murder and kidnapping charges in Graves County.

Warren County Prosecutor David Fornshell told the newspaper that this is a possible capital murder case, which means that if convicted Froman could face the death penalty.

Kentucky authorities say Froman went Friday morning to Thomas' Mayfield home. When he was approached by her 17-year-old son, Michael “Eli” Mohney, Froman shot him twice at close range, according to Graves County Coroner Phillip McClain. Froman was caught Friday on Interstate 75 near Middletown, about 360 miles from Mayfield. Thomas was found dead in the back of Froman’s white SUV near mile marker 31 on northbound I-75. Warren County Deputy Coroner Doyle Burke told the newspaper that Thomas was found naked and bloody. He said she was likely shot multiple times. It's still not clear if Thomas was shot in Ohio or Kentucky.
