WESTERN KENTUCKY - Weekend rains have prompted the lifting of burn bans in the area.

The burn ban for McCracken County was lifted as of noon Monday, and Ballard County lifted its ban on Sunday.

Fulton County's ban on open burning was lifted Tuesday, along with Graves County, Carlisle County, and Hickman County.

Based on information from the Kentucky Department of Forestry, and calls to area courthouses, there are no active burn bans in the Purchase area of western Kentucky.
